Exhibition in Reykjavik Museum of Photography 2006. When I see all these photographs at the same time my head immediately turns around to see more. By moving around and around more versions of the truth come into light. I stand alone in the room and my mind is travelling faster than my body is turning around itself. At first glance these images seem to come out of nowhere. Once I actually thought Fridrik found them in a flea market somewhere in the world. Where many photographs end up by coincidence after being the most precious possession of a person. A possession, even an obsession. Fridrik is actually quite an obsessive photographer. And he moves and lives in many worlds. But he never tends to possess the subject. That´s what probably makes this endless flux of images so precious and appealing.

Oceanic is a photography exhibition by the photographer and Captain, Friðrik Örn.
These photographs were all taken during whale and puffin watching excursions in Faxaflói bay in the past year. As a professional photographer and Captain at Whale Safari, Friðrik Örn, provides insight into the wildlife in Faxaflói bay by combining his interest in photography and in the creatures of the ocean.
This has given him a good opportunity to explore and research Faxaflói bay and to get to know the wildlife better than most other inhabitants of Reykjavík.

Almost all feature film directors in Iceland at the turn of the century. Captured on Pentax 67 slr with a 55mm lens. I asked the directors to pick a location for their portrait. Images were done for a book that mysteriously never saw light.
